We are pleased to announce that Lincoln Orthodontics will shortly be taking receipt of one of the first full mouth intraoral scanners in the UK. Five are being released through 3M Unitek and following a course in Barcelona, Dr Clare has been selected as one of the five practices which will be supported by 3M. 3M Unitek are the producers of Incongito Lingual braces, but the open format image can also be used for submission for Invisalign cases. The scanner works using advanced software that produces a “real time” 3D image of the patient’s dentition that can be examined and rotated chairside without any clinical delay.
We believe that this new technology will allow us to improve our diagnostic skills for our patients and also improve the accuracy and fit of any orthodontic braces our patients require.
